Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Boat Captain to operate a water taxi on the Colorado River in Laughlin, NV. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and efficient transport of passengers between various docks, hotels, and casinos while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining compliance with all maritime laws and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate and navigate a water taxi safely along designated routes on the Colorado River

Ensure safety of all passengers and crew on board

Assist passengers during boarding and disembarkation

Conduct pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks of the vessel
-
Monitor weather and river conditions and make informed decisions to ensure safe operation

Maintain accurate logs of daily operations, passenger counts, and incidents

Enforce safety rules and provide safety briefings to passengers

Communicate effectively with dispatch, other boat operators, and local authorities as needed

Keep the vessel clean, orderly, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements
Qualifications:

Required:
-
Valid U.S. Coast Guard Captain’s License (Minimum 25 Gross Ton Inland or higher)

Current CPR/First Aid certification

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Strong understanding of navigational rules, maritime safety regulations, and local river conditions

Preferred:

Minimum 1 year of experience operating commercial passenger vessels

Knowledge of Laughlin/Bullhead City riverfront

Customer service experience

Familiarity with vessel maintenance procedures

Excellent navigational and boat-handling skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly

Friendly and professional demeanor with a focus on passenger safety and comfort

Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
